Affordable Housing Design

This mixed development of thirty two affordable detached homes and semi-detached social housing was designed for a local authority in West Sussex. The brief required the houses to be traditionally styled using local bricks, clay tiles and render.
To avoid overly steep gradients, the new access roads were designed to follow the contours of the steeply sloping site.
The semi-detached houses generally have two bedrooms and use of a garage elsewhere on the development. The detached houses are linked together by garages and were designed as affordable, starter homes for young families. Each has three bedrooms, reasonably sized front and rear gardens and a small garage.
