residential conversion of listed buildings

More than 300 luxury apartments and town houses were created at the Southdowns Park development, a residential conversion of the St Francis Hospital at Haywards Heath. After demolition of many sub-standard extensions and alterations to this redundant asylum, the Grade II Listed Victorian buildings were renovated to complement the original Italianate Victorian architecture. When completed, the development won a Sussex Heritage Trust Award and acclaim from the Council for Protection of Rural England and also from SAVE Britain's Heritage.
